Palm Pre
Palm - Pre

The Palm Pre has become Sprint and Palm's answer to the iPhone. The phone features Palm's webOS. An Internet browser that more closely resembles the OS's for regular computers. WebOS also has matched the iPhone's horizontal screen and gestures. The Pre has an 8GB hard drive, 3 MegaPixel Camera, 3.1in touchscreen and full slide-out keyboard. There are numerous free apps for email, weather, live TV, music, social networking, and much more. Multiple apps can be run at once, just drag unused apps up and off the screen to close them. One downfall with this phone is the lack of visual voicemail. Users will have to continue to listen to the Spring female voice drag through their messages. Hopefully this will be resolved by a 3rd party app or maybe even Palm in the future. Palm concentrated on synergy in communication, combining calls, texts, chat when they are from the same person. With its sleek black look and intuitive functioning, this phone can replace many people's need for a computer and will undoubtedly take a piece of the iPhone market.

Just got the Pre. Has some features like pics in text and Sprint TV that iPhone doesn't. Doesn't have a space for an sd card... people have been complaining about this. I personally don't really care. One thing the iPhone has is video recording. The Pre doesn't have this, it seems like all the hardware is there, maybe there will be an app or update for video.
